Experience the Evolution of Sensor Technology

Starting as a mechanical repair provider for bicycles, motorcycles, and sewing machines in 1921, Balluff began making precision, turned and milled parts. By 1947, the factory had transitioned to precision mechanical parts, eventually producing mechanical sub-assemblies for the automotive industry. The company officially entered the sensor field by creating their BNS cam switch in 1956. Completing the evolution into inductive proximity sensors just twelve years later, by the 1980’s the company was a full-fledged sensor producer. The 21st century brought new expansions into precision measuring, industrial networking, connectivity, human-machine interfaces, and optical sensors.
